CHURCH HILL – Volunteer freshman Dawson Dykes has been named to the first team, All District 1-AA soccer team.
Not surprisingly, Greeneville, which won its third straight AA state championship, has six players on the All District 1-AA soccer first team.
Dykes is joined on the first team, All District 1-AA soccer team by Greeneville’s J.P. Elyze-Vital, who was named the offensive player of the year, and Devin Elyze-Vital, who was named the district’s defensive player of the year.
Also making the team for the Greene Devils are Malachi Ashley, John Stewart, Colby Freeman and Garrin Shuffler.
Other selected to the first team were Elizabethton’s Luke Bernshausen, Max Peterson and Nolan McKinney, Sullivan South’s Jonah Mintz and Luis Ramos, Sullivan Central’s Shane Hamelryck and Unicoi County’s Daniel Meza and Demicio Rodriguez.
Volunteer placed two on the All District 1-AA second team, J.B. Wilson and Darren Helton.
They are joined by Greeneville’s CJ Jones, Drew Renner and Peter Kriebel; Elizabethton’s Evan Fulmer and Jaxton Holly; Sullivan South’s Luke Pollack and Aaron Stokes; Unicoi’s John Andrade and MIguel Vasquez; and Sullivan Central’s Levi Horne and Tyler Carter.
