GREENEVILLE – A Rogersville man died in a Monday, Dec. 31, traffic crash that took place on Buckingham Road, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
A report made available by Sgt. Nathan Hall identified the man who died in the 12:16 p.m. single-vehicle crash as Cody S. Adkins, 29, of Rogersville.
The initial crash report, which was filed by Trooper Johnnie Saayman, indicated that Adkins was driving a 2013 Isuzu straight truck east on Buckingham Road while negotiating a curve when the truck's right rear wheels left the roadway.
“The driver corrected and the vehicle's right ront and rear tires left the roadway again on the right side,” Trooper Saayman wrote in the crash report. “The driver over-corrected again and the vehicle re-entered the roadway to the left and rolled over onto (its) right said across the center lane. The vehicle came to an uncontrolled stop facing north.”
Driver Adkins, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, suffered fatal injuries in the crash, according to the THP report.
