PRESSMEN’S HOME — Seventies-style singer/songwriter Denny Cluck, of Sneedville, will be one of the featured entertainers at the grand opening of what organizers are calling “a new vision” for The Castle Barn at historic Pressmen’s Home, near Rogersville.
The Sat., June 1 event will be the first of an ongoing “First Saturdays Concert Series” through the summer and fall featuring local and nationally-known entertainers.
Also appearing on the June 1 show will be pop/folk artist Bre Kennedy, of Nashville.
Tickets for the concert are $15 per person in advance through The Castle Barn’s eventbrite link on Facebook or $20 at the door.
A free “before the show hangout” will offer yard games, food, drinks and bonfires (weather permitting).
Events get underway at 4 p.m. with a King of the Cornhole Tournament (signup via email as teams of two or as a free agent — $5/team); Just for Fun yard games (can-jam, bocce ball, etc.). Attendees are allowed to bring their own yard games to share; bonfires, and fishing in the on-site lake.
A local Art/Craft Mart will also be set up, and those who would like to participate may register by email at

The musical concert from 7-9 p.m. will be held inside The Castle Barn and will be recorded as a radio show for a new music podcast.
