ROGERSVILLE — Tennessee Jack’s on the River has made some changes these last few weeks in preparation for their rebranding to Mel’s Riverside Bar & Grill.
Tennessee Jack’s on the River was purchased by Melissa (Mel) Kojundic in June 2018.
Kojundic wants to ensure that her restaurant remains a local entity, serving the community great food at a reasonable price and continue to provide entertainment options with local artists.
“I grew up in this community and it’s important to me that this restaurant remain a local entity,” Kojundic said. “I want to provide the community with a food and entertainment option that Rogersville and Hawkins County can call its own. We have great people here, wonderful customers, great food, great entertainment, and none of that is going to change.”
Located at 3415 Hwy 66 S, just over the Hugh B. Day bridge and overlooking the Holston River, Mel’s Riverside Bar & Grill is family friendly and will maintain the same great food with local favorites like the wings, burgers (including the famous “Big Chief Burger”), steaks and seafood as well as a variety of lunch and weekend specials.
In addition, some new options are being added including some health conscious choices like salmon and chicken or shrimp stir fry. The restaurant has something for everyone and their new slogan “Life is swell at Mel’s” reflects the atmosphere the staff has worked to create.
Mel’s Riverside Bar & Grill has various local artists scheduled for live performances in the next few months for entertainment on Saturday nights and also Sunday afternoons. For a complete list of events, visit their facebook page.
