Rev. Dennis Lee Rogers, age 47, of Eidson, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009, as a result of an automobile accident.

He professed faith in Christ at an early age at Stoney Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. He later joined Big Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed by Cloud 9 Enterprises.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Diana Mallet, and grandparents, Roy and Bessie Rogers.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Rogers and daughter, Kayla Rogers of the home; father and step-mother, Eugene and Judy Rogers of Maryland; brothers, Michael Rogers of Eidson and Kenneth Rogers of Virginia; two nieces, Heather Rogers of Maryland and Shasta Rogers of Rogersville; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends anytime at the residence and from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Colboch-Price Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Colboch-Price Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Parker officiating. Pallbearers will be as follows: Eugene Rogers, Mark McCoy, Roger Manis, Dan Manis, Roger Lamb, Roger Murrell, Dale Moles, and James Lawson. Interment will follow in the Rogers-Manis Cemetery in Eidson.
