Paul Blevins Rogers, Kingsport, born July 1, 1924 in Rupert, Idaho passed away Sunday evening, January 24, 2010, at his residence. He was a member of Kingsport SDA Church and was retired from AGC Kingsport plant after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh K. and Marion Pearson Rogers and his brother, Elmore P. Rogers. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jean Goodson Rogers; daughters, Denise and husband, Dr. Stephen Spalding of Chattanooga and Alice Rogers of Johnson City; grandchildren, Alexandra and Nicholas Spalding of Chattanooga; niece, Patsy Rogers Castle; and nephew, Larry Rogers. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Jeffrey Summers and his nurse, Donna; Dr. Arthur Wyker; and Smokey Mountain Hospice. The family will receive friends from 2 - 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at Colboch-Price Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. J. Edward Clevinger officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Colboch-Price Funeral Home in Rogersville is serving the Rogers family.
