Carl Reece Russell, age 82, of Surgoinsville went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Church Hill Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Mt. Carmel.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Harkleroad Russell; parents, Rev. Theodore (T.R.) and Daisy Elizabeth Lawson Russell; and brothers, Earl, Newt, Emory, Ralph, and Dewey Russell.

He is survived by his daughters, Shirley Feagins of Sevierville and Susie Templeton and husband, Roger of Rogersville; two brothers, Ken Russell and wife, Evelyn, and Claude Russell and wife, Jane of Kingsport; one sister, Effie Greer and husband, Ron Burchfield of Rogersville; four grandchildren, Wendy Maples, Marty Feagins of Sevierville, Forrest Templeton of Rogersville, and Travis Davis of Surgoinsville; three great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Rachael Maples of Sevierville, Ryleigh Templeton of Rogersville; along with several nieces, nephews, and special friends. The family wants to extend a special thank you to everyone at Church Hill Nursing and Rehab Center, especially the nurses and CNA's.

The family will receive friends anytime at his sister, Effie's residence and from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Colboch-Price Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 P.M. at Colboch-Price Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Gilreath, Rev. Dennis Maples, and Rev. Neil Drinnon officiating. Interment will follow at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
