Elsie Marie Jones, age 75 of the Beech Creek Community, Rogersville, went home to be with her Heavenly Father, Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. 

Marie was well known throughout the community by generations of students she worked with at Keplar Elementary School.  She was a member of Beech Creek Missionary Baptist Church where she served as pianist for 35 years. 

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Callie Morelock Wilcox.
 
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Gary D. Jones; daughters, Kim Barton and husband, Tim of Surgoinsville, and Beverly Jones; son, Kevin Jones of Kennesaw, GA; grandsons, Justin Jones, Laker Jones and Blaze Jones; step-grandsons, Adam Barton and Eric Barton; great-granddaughter, Jade Jones; sister, Ora Fields of Kingsport; brother, Jack Wilcox and wife, Dora of Atwater, CA; several nieces and nephews.  She will be missed by many.
 
Calling hours will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.
 
Funeral service will be conducted 7:00 P.M., Sunday, June 28, 2009 in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Bobby Bernard officiating.   There will be a private graveside service.
