Kyle Earl Harris passed away June 17, 2009, with his wife, Pearl by his side.
The couple owned and operated K. E. Harris Shell Station and Fabric Shop in Whitesburg.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, James Erastus and Della Price Harris, sister and brother-in-law, Lima Lee Cook and Vernie Cook, and nephew, Nick Cook and great-nephew, Lucas Bowlin.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Pearl Woods Harris, his children, James A. Harris and Sandra A. Worthington, his grandchildren, James Dodson, Tracie Dodson-Keeney, Michael Dodson, Brady Dodson, J. J. Harris, Terri Daughtery, and Heath Harris, and several great-grandchildren.
Earl will be buried in a private ceremony in Courtney Cemetery at sunset. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. The family would like to give special thanks to Ginger, Amy, and Brittany with Smoky Mountain Hospice, and Dr. Lance Patton and his staff.
