Mary Jo Weaver, age 61, of Rogersville, went to be with The Lord Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at The University of Tennessee Medical Center.
She loved The Lord and was an active member of Persia Baptist Church.
She was also retired from Rogersville City School and was a member of the Hawkins County Rogersville Retired Teachers Association.
She enjoyed gardening, crafting, and traveling with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Edith Chesnutt.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, David Weaver; daughter, Amanda Smith (Bobby); son, Cody Weaver (Christina); two grandchildren who were the light of her life, Austin and Ashleigh; and her faithful companion, Spanky; two sisters, Jackie Walker and Janette Tackett (Woody); brother, Ralph Chesnutt (Sheryl); and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 1, 5-7 p.m., at Christian-Sells Funeral Home, Rogersville. A funeral will follow at 7 p.m. with the Revs. Kevin Wisecarver and Danny Bell officiating.
A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m., Sunday, April 2, at Long Cemetery on Jack Chesnutt Farm on Highway 113.
