Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas! I hope all of you are well and ready for the remainder of the Holidays! I'm as ready as I can be!
I wake up every morning being thankful that the Lord wokemeuptoanewday.Itis up to me to choose what I will do with it. I want to once again thank all of you who read my column. I appreciate the sup- port of each and everyone of you. It helps me to put one foot in front of the other, to decide what I am going to do with my days. There are days, few as they may be I may feel on top of the world.
Most days I can't get anything done, however, I do have to give in to my ailments. I just lay down, to get some much needed rest.
I want to finish my story about the Miracle in Bethlehem.
"The Wise Men followed The Star”
Far away to the East, lived wise men who studied the stars. One night, as they looked at the sky, they saw a bright star.
"That is the brightest star I have ever seen," said one of the wise men. "God must have sent it to tell us that the new King of the Hebrew people has been born."
So, the wise men started out on their camels to look for the new King. They rode a long, long way.
Finally, they came to the city of Jerusalem, where many Hebrew people lived. They asked, "Where is the new King, who has just been born? We have seen His star in the East."
No one knew anything about this new King. Even King Herod did not know. He asked many teachers and holy men about this new King. The holy men told him, "Our holy books tell us that a King will be born in Bethlehem."
King Herod said to the wise men, "Go to Bethlehem and find this new King. Then come and tell me where he is, so that I can see Him too."
It was night, but the wise men started at once for Bethlehem. As they rode on their camels, they looked up at the stars. And there, shining brightly, high above them, was the same star they had seen in the East!
They followed the star to Bethlehem. It shone high over a little house---the very house where Mary and Joseph and Jesus were staying!
The wise men went inside and saw little Jesus, sitting on Mary's lap. The wise men knelt in front of Him. They thanked God for sending the new King.
Then they gave Jesus the gifts they
had brought. They gave Jesus the gifts, They gave Jesus precious gold, sweet- smelling incense, and soothing myrrh. These were the finest gifts, fit for the greatest King!
That night, the wise men had a dream. In the dream, God told them, "Do not go back to the wicked King Herod. He wants to kill Jesus."
The wise went home another way and God kept Jesus safe. As the wise men rode home on their camels, they said to each other, "We have seen God's Son. He will be a King forever."
"And that's the way I see it."
It is my prayer that you all have Him as King in your hearts. I will truly love Him forever and ever. He rules my heart and life. May God richly bless you and yours. You are loved!
Have a happy and blessed Christmas. I'm ready to eat! Enjoy!

TIP OF THE WEEK
Eat, drink, and be merry! Next, we all diet! It is a good thing, the Holidays only come once a year, or we would all be in trouble!
